The following programs will help you select the one that is best adapted to your goal.

	Teaching courses are designed for beginners to advanced riders with 1, 2 or 3 day courses available. All equipment is provided and a safety boat is used. Kite surfing is accessible to everyone but not easy to learn without tuition. Where better to learn it than in the breathtaking setting of the Gower Peninsula in Wales-where you can learn the skills and experience the exhilaration of this exciting new sport first hand with the team at Gower Kite Riders.
	Course/Program Information. . . . . Discover Power kites (by the hour)-£15 Description With an emphasis on having fun, students will get the opportunity to play with small 2 or 4 line land based foil kites involving tuition in setting up and launching and basic safety and flying precautions. Intermediate Power kites (3hours of tuition)-£45 Description As above with additional introduction to larger more powerful foil kites. Students will be encouraged to demonstrate and practice all the basic flying techniques (walking exercise, sine wave, figure of eight and top turns) and be given discovery time. Kiteboarding is 80% kite skills so if you want to learn to kiteboard this is a cheap alternative to test your kite flying skills first and to get an idea of the sport.
	Power kite landboarder (4hours)-£80 Description (Over 18s only) Once you have learnt how to control your kite its time to get moving. Kite landboarding is great fun and can be done on the beach or on a large grassy area. The course also allows you to further your progression onto learning to kiteboard on water. Course content is as above but includes introduction to the board and learning how to control your movement and speed with the kite. Discovery Kiteboarder Program (4-5 hours of tuition)-£95 Description The best way to discover kiteboarding! By the end of this program, you will be ready to move to the next step: getting up on the board! Split into a morning and afternoon session the first part of this program will take you through the steps of piloting and mastering the basic skills of a 2 or 4 line kite, and body dragging in the water. You will also learn about safety and how important it is to the sport. Furthermore, you will be taken through the steps of equipment set up and launching and landing.
	Entry level No experience needed. Be able to swim 50 mtrs in deep water. Achievement Get your level certified up to level 1 with the Kiteboarder card You have been initiated and are now ready to continue learning safely. Kiteboarder Level 1
	Intermediate Kiteboarder Program (8-10 hours of tuition)-£170 with a free T-shirt Description By the end of the intermediate program, you will get up on the board for your first ride. During the course, you will improve kite piloting with power, one hand kite piloting, body dragging unhooked and hooked in to your harness. Perfect for those who wish to practice a few times per year and rent equipment during holidays. Entry level Kiteboarder level 1 or equivalent skill level. Achievement Get your level certified up to level 2 with the Kiteboarder card Ability to rent equipment and practice under supervision Kiteboarder level 2 Discounts on new equipment
	Independent Kiteboarder Program (13-15 Hours of tuition)-£250 with a free T-shirt Description Combining the skills you have learnt on day one, with the boarding attributes needed to start edging across the water to become an independent kiteboarder. During this program, you will learn how to manage your practice area and to choose your equipment. Your kite flying skills will be improved and you will learn how to control your direction and power, and come back to your starting point. You will be able to fly more powerful kites. You will use a twin tip, mutant or a smaller directional board. Entry level Kiteboarder level 2 or equivalent skill level. Achievement (Get your level certified up to level 3 with the Kiteboarder card-pending progress) Become an independent kiteboarder. 	Go with the Flow Down winders Description Gower kite riders has its own Zap-Cat water safety boat specially designed for rough sea states and open water. We can cater for Independent kitesurfers wanting to get away from the beach or just kite that elusive wave spot you've always dreamt of getting out to. (level 2 proficiency) All our instructors are RYA level 2 powerboat certified.
KITE SURFING IS A EXTREME SPORT AND IS UNDERTAKEN UNDER THE CUSTOMERS OWN RISK, WAIVERS WILL BE SIGNED BEFORE INSTRUCTION COMMENCES KITESURFING COURSES/PROGRAMS CAN ONLY BE UNDERTAKEN BY AN ADULT OR IF PERANTS OR GUARDIANS ARE PRESENT, (for UNDER 18's) WHILE THE ACTIVITY IS IN PROGRESS.	Advanced kiteboarder Program £25 (per hour) If you need additional coaching for upwind riding, jumping, transitions, wave riding, back loops etc On each day there is approximately 4-5 hours teaching depending on start times /tides and conditions. Students will receive a IKO kiteboarder card after a kiteboarding course. Courses can be catered for individuals. However, kitesurfing cannot be learnt in a single day.ALL INSTRUCTORS HAVE BEEN TRAINED BY GOVERNING BODIES BKSA/IKO AND HOLD VALID FIRST AID CERTIFICATES. Please bring CASH or CHEQUE on the day. WETSUITS, BUOYANCY AIDS, HELMETS AND FOOTWEAR IS SUPPLIED AND INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. If you have your own wetsuit please bring it along. Group and corporate packages are also available (4 people maximum per instructor) A towel, swimming costume/shorts, trainers and warm clothes for land based activity. And some food or money for lunch and Drinks. (p.s some of the teaching locations do not have shops)
